I taught piano in a music school in Ukraine. After coming to the United States in 1994, I worked for Traveling Teachers Company and I am also giving private lessons for children and adults.

I teach piano for all ages and all experience levels. I also play ensembles with students and accompany clarinet and other instruments. Have accompanied at the University of Maryland. 35 years professional experience. I studied at an elite Russian school for musical talent and have been awarded a masters degree from the Kharkiv conservatory. I enjoy excellent interaction and engagement with all my students. Students of all ages and backgrounds welcome!

My son enjoyed his first class. He learnt a lot from her on the very first day. She gave him several homework to practice which is very helpful. She was  very patient with him. He is looking forward to his next session.

Yelena has been a wonderful piano teacher.  Always cheerful and patient and has been flexible with my crazy schedule.  I appreciate that she took the time to challenge me and encourage me as I got started on learning to play the piano - something I've wanted to do for years!  Even though I can no longer continue (due to my work schedule), she's given me lots to practice at home and hopefully I'll be able to return later.  Yelena is the best!
