Hello! My name is Ilana. I am a professional classical singer, living and working in New York with both a BM and MM from Manhattan School of Music. My performance experience is available at my website and includes performances at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and The White House, as well as at Ash Lawn Opera Festival, Castleton Festival, The Chautauqua Institution, and more. Outreach and education is a particular love of mine and exposing children at a young age to the magic of music and the voice is especially thrilling. What I love most about music instruction is not only the ability to discover the creative potential that each individual has, but to develop each student based on their individual goals. Whether you are interested in pursuing a more advanced study of music or looking to simply expand your artistic sensibilities, I am eager to aid you or your child on that journey. I believe in music as literacy and as a musician the balance between the technical and expressive should work in harmony.
