- Levels Taught:
- Intermediate, Advanced
My goal with my students is to create an efficient system. I want your hour of daily practice to yield the most amount of progress. I am interested in working with advanced players who want a diagnosis of bad habits that are hard to recognize on your own as well as students who are looking for that aha moment to get deeper into the subject!
I also have a lot of experience providing music for movies and tracks with my home recording studio and can provide guidance for instrumentalists who are interested in writing, arranging, and recording their own music.
Please see my website for more details about my experience level.

I studied with Hideaki for several years, starting off as a beginner clarinet student. He is an incredibly talented musician, who genuinely cares about your progress. Throughout my years of study with him, he had creative approaches to address any issues in my playing and worked patiently to figure out what was best for me. His guidance and expertise were key in developing my interest in music and decision to pursue clarinet through college. I highly recommend him as a teacher for players of all levels.Show More

My coaching was really great and helpfull. The approach was simple, precise, and there was no stress. Hideaki is a talented clarinet player as well as an excellent teacher. He gave me many tricks that I can include in my day to day playing.
If I could, I won’t hesitate a minute to have another coaching with him.
Hideaki transformed my daughter's music experience. He not only taught her how to play the clarinet well he taught her how to understand and feel music. He is great teacher. He also invited us to his performances which were a lot of fun.
Hideaki is such a gem! He is not only a world-class musician but also a Juilliard grad educator (He has a DMA - Doctor of Musical Arts). He really knows how to teach and work with you. He is very patient, cares about your progress, and has a very strong passion for music. Unlike many teachers here, his style and skills are so versatile and top-notch. You will not be disappointed!Show More
