    About Halley E.

First and foremost, I believe everyone should sing (that's right!). I’m a performing singer-songwriter and recording artist. I talk the talk in an easy and accessible way to help singers of all ages gain confidence and knowledge to pursue what I hope will be a life of song! I have a degree in vocal jazz and African-American music from UMASS Amherst, and spent many years in San Francisco performing in venues and working as an Education Program Manager at the SFJAZZ Center. I have training in classical, jazz and contemporary music and incorporate all into my teaching to ensure healthy vocal technique that aligns with the kind of singing each student wants to pursue. From complete beginners who claim they cannot hold a tune, to professionals looking for a tune up to keep their voice high functioning, I enjoy all aspects of teaching and helping people connect with their voice. I teach using Somatic Voicework, the LoVetri Method (TM). I believe deeply in guiding each student to find and strengthen their voice in a safe and fun (!) way through enhanced body awareness. I am also an award-winning songwriter and have been named by Nashville Songwriters Association "One to Watch." I am currently recording my next EP of original music in a socially distanced way! It's been interesting.
