Thanks for checking out my profile! I studied piano for 13 years, including 4 years in college. Additionally, I studied organ for eight years, including four years in college. I have taught lessons on and off for the past six years. I am passionate about music and can't wait to get started with you! *** Lesson Details *** I am laid back, but I do expect to see some effort put forth by the student at every lesson. I typically use the Faber method, but for students transferring from another teacher I will stick with the method they have previously used. After six months of weekly lessons, a student should be through the first lesson book. *** Travel Equipment *** Students must have an in-tune acoustic piano or appropriate digital piano/keyboard with piano-style weighted keys. I will provide their lesson books, for which they will reimburse me. *** Specialties *** I believe that all students need a solid grounding in classical music, although I am comfortable teaching almost any style, particularly pop, jazz, and ragtime.
