About Gloria C.

Hello, my name is Gloria, and I specialize in private instrument lessons. I have a wide variety of knowledge with all instruments. My primary instrument is the cello, which I received my Bachelor of Music in Performance for. I have been playing the cello for 27 years. I have extensive performance experience, including performances with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and various chamber ensembles. Music is my passion. I currently teach middle school band for grades 6-8, and middle school orchestra grades 5-8. I teach all levels, and all age-ranges. I would love to have the opportunity to work with you and tailor the lessons to fit your needs.

I truly believe that anyone can learn to play an instrument, no exceptions. Playing an instrument is rewarding and exciting. No matter what skill level you are at, you are always learning. Although at times it may be challenging, it is also very rewarding to set your own goals, push yourself, and see your own progress.

I want to help foster your growth as a musician. Music is part of everyday life, and I would love to have the opportunity to share my passion for music with you, and help you succeed to be the best player you can be.

Music Teacher
Jul 2007 - Present

Public School System in Phoenix, AZ

I have been, and am currently, a public school teacher. This is my 14th year teaching in the Music Education field. I have vast experience in teaching general music, music theory, music history, voice, instrumental music, chamber ensembles, and concert ensembles. I was trained as a classical musician, and started playing the cello when I was in third grade. Teaching in Arizona has provided me with the confident, proven ability to teach all band instruments, as I have been the band director in my district for 8 years now. I really am a jack of all trades and am so passionate about music, and sharing it with people, either in individual one-on-one settings, or group settings as well.
