I approach teaching guitar with an emphasis on original composition including writing melodies and accompanying chord progressions. 

This is all set around the students interests. 

Technique, note-reading, scales and practice schedules are also emphasized.

My areas of expertise are in rock, the blues, acoustic guitar, and hard rock. 

I approach student lessons with an emphasize on original composition beginning with melody, technique and scales, and song-learning. 

Students choose the areas they would like to learn and I tailor my lesson plans to their goals/motivations. I also assist students in setting up a practice routine.
