    About Gabriel G.

Hi, I’m Gabriel. I’m a vocalist, composer, and award-winning arranger. I have coached more than 100 students to find and use their singing voice and I’m passionate about helping you. I have a bachelor’s degree in commercial music and voice from Belmont University. My degree and focus have been equally focused on voice, arranging, and composition. I’m an award-winning arranger (2-time winner of ICCA best arranger and 3-time ICHSA best arranger.) I’ve been involved in a capella for nearly 10-years helping to arrange and direct a capella groups including Music Director for the Belmont Prismatics. I’ve performed live with Josh Groban and have sung in a wide variety of genres including jazz, pop, rock, funk, R&B, soul, blues, gospel, country, rap, and folk. As a vocal coach and instructor, I help students develop technique and confidence in the singing, focusing on professionalism, breath control, and tone. We can work on sight-singing, developing your repertoire, and finding your unique sound. I help students to develop a deeper connection to the songs you’ve chosen and the accompaniment. I help people of all ages, from those who are just starting to sing, to those who are looking to come back to their voice. I work with instrumentalists, songwriters, and those who are looking to accompany themselves on other instruments. My approach is rooted in patience, encouragement, and helping you find, reinforce, and expand those aspects of your voice that make you unique. I show you where to find the best resources to improve your voice, how to use those resources, and what you can focus on between sessions to quickly make improvements. Many of us are living through a time when it is difficult to find a place in school or our community where we have teachers who can help us improve our voice. Many of us are also looking for a broader repertoire of more contemporary music that we want to work on. If you are looking for a teacher who is in touch with current trends, artists, and genres in the music industry, I am the teacher for you. I can also help you meet your personal singing goals and show how they can align with what your parents, church, school, or choir director is asking you to sing! There is no “perfect voice” but there is always a way for us to feel good about where we have and realize that just like any instrument, there is always a way to improve. Let me help you to find your voice today!
