Students begin from a place of guided relaxation and personal awareness of themselves. Through simple exercises exploring their physical and emotional tension we practice together being oneself and telling the truth of what we are experiencing. From this place we begin to push the boundaries of expression to explore the variety of feelings and gestures that arise when asked to speak or recite text or monologue. This can be or feel like improvisation, telling a story, reading from a script or in dialogue with me the teacher as a "scene partner'. The lessons are uniquely customized to you the student. What are your desires to achieve in performance, be it at work, in relationships, auditions or simple confidence, building a broader expression of your personal self? You are the curriculum and as your teacher I facilitate your assessment of yourself in where you are in each moment and where you would like to be at any given moment. I bring over 40 years of personal experience in performance as a actress, singer, dancer and comic along with 25 years of teaching and Direction of Theatrical Production, Scene Study, Motivational Speaking, Singing, Piano and Musical Theatre. I truly get inspired every time I work with a student willing to express themselves and risk being seen.
