Nice to meet you! My name is Eunice and I am a cello teacher. I received my bachelor and master degree in cello performance at the New England Conservatory of Music, and am currently pursuing my doctorate degree in cello performance at Indiana University. I am a teaching artist for the Boston Philharmonic teaching artist program where I teach elementary and middle school, and adult students in group settings, private lessons, as well as orchestra sectionals. I am also a part of the music program “Teach to Learn” as a cello mentor where I have virtually connected and taught cello to a student from Syria.

I will help you develop technique, musicality, and rhythmical skills that will make way for a freedom of expression. Solid technique is necessary for one to make music. The more tools one has the more variety and dimensions the music has. This will be done through emphasis and practice of scales, etudes, cello method books, as well as caprices for students who are more advanced.

But most of all, through the process of learning to make music, I hope that you will get joy out of it! I will guide students through various works and pieces that will hopefully cultivate and inspire your love for music.

She was also a teaching artist for the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra’s teaching artist program “Crescendo”. There, she was an assistant cello teacher for the Josiah Quincy Orchestra Program and the Boston String Academy where she taught private lessons, group lessons, and lead orchestra sectionals.
