Holding a BA in Music (Voice) as well as having studied in the BFA Musical Theatre Program at Kent State University, Erin specializes in proper breathing techniques, classical vocalises (warm-ups), sight-singing, and various genres including: Contemporary Pop, Disney, Hip Hop, A Capella, Musical Theatre/Broadway, Choral, Sacred, Contemporary Christian, Country, Celtic and Classical. Much of her vocal techniques have been tailored from years of private study, starting at the age of 16. Dr. Joseph B. Collins (PhD, Vocal Pedagogy) of Nashville has been her most influential Instructor, greatly simplifying and making known to her the best secrets of vocal execution. Dr. Collins' insight has inspired Erin to share the gift of singing with her own pupils since January of 2012. Her students have blossomed into confident, skilled performers who have accomplished leading roles in regional, university, community and school theatre productions. Her students have also go on to pursue professional training at LAMDA- the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, UNCSA- University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and Baldwin-Wallace University. Erin is delighted to see many of her students enthusiastically and consistently performing, auditioning and competing. Their pursuits have included America’s Got Talent, Ohio Youth Honors Choir, Irish feisannas, Singing Angels of Cleveland, singing “The National Anthem” for major sporting events, and prestigious university and conservatory programs including: Juilliard, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Case Western Reserve University, and Boston University.
