Violin with Erika M.

Erika began violin lessons when she was 4 years old at Northwest Indiana Suzuki Studio. She began teaching in 2003 for this studio providing violin from years 2003-2007 and cello from years 2004-2007. Erika has also taught for Chantal's Music Institute for Children from 2007-2008, and for HGS music from 2013-2015 Erika is currently the Principle Second Violinist of the LaPorte Symphony Orchestra, and enjoys performing with numerous performance groups across the Northwest Indiana Area. Erika attended Ball State University as a violin performance major, and has furthered her education with numerous business and administration degrees through a local school in Valparaiso. Erika specializes in teaching beginner-intermediate students and believes that music should be fun, not a chore! Erika embraces the traditional Suzuki methodology, and also incorporates sight reading training for all of her students.
