Music isn't just a career choice: it is a way of life. I have been playing music since I was a toddler; everything I have learned about life has been through music. I believe that self-expression is important to being confident with yourself. I look forward to sharing my passion for music and teaching with any students who are ready to learn!
I have over a decade of performance experience and have played along the East Coast with several bands. Some venues I have performed at recently include The Plaza Theatre in Orlando; Backbooth in Downtown Orlando; The Crowbar in Tampa; The Bandshell and The Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach. Some groups I play with are Run Rhino, The Mighty St. John's, The Children of Stone, and MPG (Mobile Performance Group). I am a versatile musician who primarily performs and instructs on Drums, Bass, and Guitar (acoustic and electric). I teach nearly all styles of music, including classical, jazz, funk, and rock. I have graduated from Stetson University with degrees in Digital Arts, Music, and Business.
I am also an accomplished computer musician and sound engineer. I am fluent in a range of professional software programs which includes Logic, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Amadeus Pro, Cubase, and MaxMSP. I have done sound for large national touring acts such as Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, and Matt Costa.
I feel that nothing is impossible. Great results aren't given, they are earned, and I know how to set goals to reach those results. This is a virtue I like to share with students. My dedication to music has helped me accomplish much at a young age.
*** Lesson Details ***
All lessons accommodate the unique needs of the student. My lessons don't merely teach you musical theories: I will teach you how to express yourself through your instrument as you learn those theories. You will gain technical knowledge and the tools to experience your musical potential. Lessons with me are the perfect extra-curricular activity for your child, or a great experience for you. A large part of my curriculum is more than learning how to play a few cover songs. The lessons are also about becoming more confident with yourself as a person and developing character along the way. You will learn about the discipline, patience, and dedication that it takes to stand out among professionals, not just as a musician, but as a strong individual. Music is a part of that. What you play becomes an extension of yourself. Young or old, everyone has something to share with the world through music.
In a given lesson, you can expect half of it to be about the basics of your instrument and the literature for reading music. The other half is about how you can apply these principles in a unique way that relates to yourself. However, the lesson is all about the student. If the student wants to learn in different ways that is never a problem. All I ask is that you're eager to learn! Everybody has different musical tastes and different learning styles. That is what makes every musician unique and every lesson exciting.
I enjoy teaching people of all ages 5 and up and have experience teaching groups or individuals. From beginner or experienced, hobbyist or professional, every person has a place in the wonderful world of music!

Great instructor; always prepared and patient. He works towards my goals always.
Eric is the real deal as a guitar teacher. I personally play the guitar myself, but as any parent knows when it comes to teaching your own child there is going to be some resistance no matter what! Lol. Eric is very well educated in music and has the rapport to teach beginners as well as advanced students. My son looks forward to his time with Eric and considers him a friend as well! In closing, if your looking for an instructor that has a solid music background that can channel that knowledge into your child or self, look no further!+ Read More
Great with young kids
Eric explained everything really well so that I was able to understand and take my playing to the next level. I know understand why chords are formed certain ways and how to easily make variations of the chords
We think Eric is great teacher too! I have been bringing my 6 year old son for drum lessons for several weeks and he has been great with him. I was amazed after the first lesson that he already had my son reading music. The progress they make in 30 minutes is amazing! Thanks Eric :)+ Read More
We love Eric! He is so good with my 6 year old son. Very patient! And my son loves him! Would recommend highly! :)
Excellent teacher--highly recommended
We are so glad we found Eric! After trying (and failing) with two other drum coaches who lacked a crucial requirement--in one case, depth of knowledge, and in another case, patience--my son has been taught by Eric for three years and has become an excellent drummer. Eric is highly knowledgeable, very patient, and a great communicator. He is the best music teacher we've found (and that includes three music teachers we used for another child, who took lessons for several instruments). Eric is also very knowledgeable about several other instruments. You cannot find a better music teacher than Eric!
Eric is a wonderful instructor who seems to love music. He has made learning the guitar very easy.
Hi, Eric is a great teacher! My son is doing well, just trying to get him to practice at times, but he is enjoying more and more.
Eric has a very calm and likeable demeanor. I had no experience drumming and he immediately gave me confidence by demonstrating the fundamentals. Since that first lesson, Eric has put up with my frustration over trying to learn too much too fast. He gently reminds me to be patient and let my skills develop. I'm confident that with his instruction, I'll become the type of drummer I want to be.
Well I can say that Brodys teacherEric is wonderful with him and very patient. However he needs 2 drill the practice everyday into him bcuz its better if the teacher does that's his responsibility. At these prices the teacher NEEDS to make sure he is practicing... a phone call mid week from Eric to Brody would be helpful!
When my kids came out after their lessons with big smiles on their faces and they talked about their lessons all the way home, and then demonstrated to us what they had learned without being prompted, I knew I had chosen the right teacher for them.
Eric has been great with me..even if I'm sixty years old.. He gave me many patterns to work on it. I'm looking forward to the next lesson..
Eric has been a great guitar instructor for my son. My son has learned alot, and is able to play the songs he set a goal for, and he looks forward to the next sessions. Eric has been a great role model for my son and has inspired him to continue playing music. I highly recommend Eric for any music student seeking an instructor.
Young, Insightful, Professional Teacher
Eric is a young dude with an abundance of musical wisdom. He's professional and insightful. Although my young son has been playing drums for many years there are flaws in his foundation and Eric is giving him a new way to look at his music abilities and his music weeknesses. Eric is teaching him and challenging him by getting him out of his comfort zone. Eric is correcting my son's music foundation so he can be successful and creative with his musical talents. I appreciate the way Eric is giving my son a new way to see and to challenge him to continue to progress with his music. Most important, my son enjoys going to drum practice, and Eric is very good with him.
