Ms. Shemesh recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree at California State University Northridge in the Vocal Performance BM Program. As part of the CSUN Opera Department, Erga performed the lead role of Monica from Menotti’s opera The Medium this spring as well as performing as a chorus member in the operas Die Fledermaus and Carmen. Erga has been a soprano soloist in performances of major works by the CSUN University Chorus including Haydn’s Creation, Handel’s “Rejoice Greatly” from the Messiah, Mendelssohn’s Elijah and Bach’s Magnificat. She also performed in a masterclass with mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung. Erga is still engaged in choral singing. At a young age, Erga was a member of one of the most well-known children’s choirs in Israel, the Moran Choir.

Erga Shemesh is working toward achieving a career in the music industry as an opera singer performing in professional opera companies. Outside of vocal music, Erga has studied flute for fourteen years.
