I teach all individuals of all levels to learn not just how to play the piano, but also develop their own unique personality as a musician and performer! I cover the fundamentals of piano technique from the very beginning, for I believe that mastery of technique is the gateway to freely being able to express oneself on the piano. However, I will also cover the fundamentals of performance, music theory, sight reading, expression, and musicality! No previous experience is required to learn with me! I will begin each class (unless it is the first class) with a quick review of what we learned in the previous meeting, followed by the student playing what they've worked on and then going from there! I am always very willing to listen to and engage with my students while sharing my knowledge and passion for music! I always cater to each individual's individual preferences, needs, and goals, while also providing a fun, open, comfortable learning environment. I always try to challenge the student to do their absolute best while motivating them along every step of the way! May we make wonderful music on this journey together!
