Dear Student, I am looking forward to meeting you and beginning piano lessons with you, whether you are a beginner, or have already been playing for a couple of years. I hope very much that you will find a lot of joy in playing as, week by week, you progress. Music is a beautiful, bright and hopeful thing. As your playing improves you will gain confidence. You will also gain a very solid background in theory, keys, scales, major and minor, arpeggios, chord progressions. Perhaps alongside the piano you will learn or are learning another instrument, or you will join the school choir or the school band. There is just so much out there. I want your skills in piano to improve, but I also want you to take part in the world of music that is out there and for it to stay with you your whole life. Living in Milwaukee you will have much opportunity to experience this world. So let's begin this Fall. Your teacher, Ms Emily.
