- Beginner, Intermediate
Experienced music teacher with nearly 10 years experience teaching students of all ages and abilities from beginner to advanced. I also have experience teaching music to students with special needs, including autism and total vision impairment. I begin accepting students for guitar at age 8 and teach students up to age 99+. For students younger than 8 who wish to learn guitar, I start them on a ukulele which is much easier for very young students to handle. With lessons from me, you'll learn to read music and understand tab, develop your ear for hearing music (ear training), music theory, and technique with a goal of getting you playing your favorite style of music in the quickest time possible. I can teach you to play whatever style you wish. I can even help you learn to compose your own music! To accomplish that, I use a variety of learning aids and games to assist you in learning to read music and understand the deeper concepts of music theory. I taylor my teaching style to each individual student's needs, learning styles, and goals to help them achieve success. So come on, let's get the music playing!

I grew up in a musical family. My mother was a piano teacher for 20 years, and my father could play any instrument he decided to pick up. From as young as I can remember, music was always surrounding me. I came to love it in all its forms and styles.
I began playing piano when I was a little girl. As a teenager, I learned guitar, harmonica, and drums. Since then, I have been devoted to learning as much as I can about music theory, composition, music history, and musical instruments. I'm currently learning the violin and hope to add mandolin and banjo to my musical repertoire in the near future. I'm also working on making my own method books and composing music.
I began teaching music back in 2010.
