I am experienced teacher who enjoys sharing my love of music with people of all ages! I studied Early Childhood Education in college, but have played the violin for 20+ years. Some highlights of my time playing violin include winning 3rd place at the Lyons Fiddle Festival when I was 15, playing with local community orchestras and groups in church settings and weddings. During my time teaching violin I have learned to take both conventional and unconventional approaches to meet students where they're at, and help them understand both the music theory and practical application of playing violin. My biggest strength as a teacher is that in sharing what I love with others, my enthusiasm can be infectious, and I strive to connect with my students, what inspires them, to make learning fun and engaging.
