About Eli S.
Eli S. is a bilingual (Spanish/English) LA-bred, internationally influenced film composer, guitarist, teacher, and documentarian with a deep love of music and cultures from around the world. He has been playing guitar and performing for over 10 years, as well as music editing/scoring for Netflix series, films and video games. Check his music and other work out at elislavkin.com
During COVID, he has continued teaching online through Zoom, primarily in the format of group classes on songwriting. In his five years of teaching experience, he has taught elementary and middle school age students as well as at the college level as a peer tutor at Berklee.
Most recently, he has been assisting renowned video game composer, Jack Wall (Myst franchise, Call of Duty, Mass Effect) and composing as a signed artist for Wall's label.
Eli lives in Castellón de la Plana, Spain and has plenty of availability for online lessons.

I had a great experience with Eli. He was patient, compassionate, detail oriented, and extremely knowledgeable on the subject matter. He gave useful tips, tricks, and shortcuts for synthesizing the information and retention of concepts. Highly recommended for any level of instruction.

Eli is an amazing educator. Not only is he very knowledgeable in Music theory, Guitar, Composition, and arranging, but he has a great outlook on life. I owe the success of my audition at Berklee College of Music to him! We worked step by step on the audition process, and he helped me see what the college was looking for. Now I am at Berklee's Graduate program, and helping tutor other students like Eli did for me! Mentored students who did not successfully complete their first semester core music courses. Taught alongside associate professor Corinne Chase as an in-class tutor in undergraduate-level courses. Represented the Tutoring department by presenting at admissions, orientation, and other events. Supervised tutors by reviewing their session reports and assisted them to successfully support tutees.
