In the first lesson, Eli will assess what your goals are with learning guitar so that he can develop a personalized lesson style that will help you to meet them. The most important part of learning about music and learning to play both electric and acoustic guitar is practicing regularly. That is why he will also help you set and continue to refine a practice routine which will help you to reach your goals in the best and most rewarding way possible.

About Eli S.

Eli S. is an LA-bred, internationally influenced film composer, guitarist, teacher, and documentarian with a deep love of music and cultures from around the world. He has been playing guitar for over 11 years and has performed at venues in LA such as: The Mint, Catalina Jazz Club, The Troubadour, and in Valencia, Spain at La Vitti, Colegio Mayor Galileo Galilei and Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències.

Bilingual in Spanish/English, he has scored, orchestrated, and music edited on film, TV, and video game projects with Netflix, the University of Southern California (USC), New York Film Academy (NYFA), and Berklee College of Music - where he holds a Bachelor of Music in Film Scoring, and minor in Video Game Scoring. He has lived and worked in Madrid as an assistant for Lucas Vidal on Elite (season 2), Mio fratello rincorre i dinosauri (film), Salir del Ropero (film), Hogar (film), and Vidal's upcoming album.

As a guitar principal at Berklee College of Music, he performed in several ensembles and was regularly called for recording sessions as a jazz artist. He has performed in multiple music festivals in Valencia, Spain (Lago de Conciertos and Musaico), in jazz, contemporary, and flamenco styles. Now that he is back in LA, he uses guitar (as well as his secondary instrument of piano) in his compositions and production.

Most recently, he has been assisting renowned video game composer, Jack Wall (Myst franchise, Call of Duty, Mass Effect) and composing as a signed artist for Wall's label.
