Carnegie Hall Music Educators Workshop
Sep, 2022Music educators who work in schools and communities with K–12 students join together with master faculty members in a series of musical and professional training activities in the Resnick Education Wing and online. From September to June, New York City teachers at all stages of their careers have the opportunity to participate in workshops with student ensembles and visiting faculty, learn from professional artists, and attend Carnegie Hall concerts. Each July, national Summer Music Educators Workshop participants attend four days of intensive workshops focused on ensemble instruction and classroom strategies, observe student-ensemble demonstration rehearsals, build a community of peers, and interact with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA).
