Whether you'd like to learn your favorite tune, you're preparing for a school performance, or would simply like to sound better on your instrument, you can trust that I'll take you there.
I am serious about enjoying music and always focus on making music rather than pushing buttons up or down. With me you'll always have the option of focusing your musical journey on what you want to accomplish.
My musical journey has taken me through performances in many different types of music. While my training (undergraduate and graduate) was in Classical flute performance, I've fortunately had the opportunity to play with Pop, Jazz, Salsa groups as well as large orchestras, modern music groups and even rock groups!
I invite you to choose a teacher who will focus on the enjoyment of music and take into account your musical taste before placing an etude book on the stand.
I lead the band/wind program at Harmony, specifically in PS513 in the Washington Heights area. Through the Harmony program I bring instrumental and musical lessons to typically under served and under represented students of NYC.
With 3 concerts a year and weekly individual performances, my students are able to significantly grow musically in just 2 semesters of my music class. I teach music in Spanish too!
I worked and studied with Eduardo for 4 years, during which he blossomed into a great musician and an inspiring teacher.
Mr. Cordero has innate musical instincts that allow him to express a broad range of musical styles. He is truly an eclectic musician.
Eduardo possesses a great talent of sharing his knowledge with his students. He is a hard working, organized, caring and loyal person. Observing his lessons as a colleague is always motivating and I can tell that his passion for music is persuasive.
I highly recommend him!
