    About Eddie T.

    Over 25+ years of teaching experience, studied with studio legend Chuck Rainey (Steely Dan, Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin) and master bassist Jeff Castleman (Duke Ellington, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Ella). Teaching all styles beginner to advanced. Excel on the bass by learning good technique, theory, groove, soloing, and improvising. Former students have pursed music careers, appeared on Dave Letterman Show, The Tonight Show, and toured with national recording artists. Personal playing experience: worked with Cyril Neville, The Drifters, Dave Walker (led vocalist with Savoy Brown, Fleetwood Mac, Black Sabbath), Ron Strykert (Grammy winner Men at Work), Tracy Nelson (two time Grammy nominee) , The Platters, Eric Funk (Grammy nominee), Minnesota Blues Band (which included Prince's horn section), Ignacio Berroa (jazz legend), Deep Banana Horns (Allman Bros, Derek Trucks, Govt Mule), Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show, Eric Kalb (Greyboy Allstars, John Schofield), Jack Walrath (Mingus), Bob Braye (Miles Davis, Pharaoh Sanders), Bob Nell, Joey Gian, Andrew Gromiller, Jeni Fleming, John Bohlinger (bandleader of “Nashville Star” TV show), and Meagan Mullins (Nashville Artist, Shakira). *** Lesson Details *** Lessons are uniquely tailored to each student. Each lesson will touch upon 3 areas. 1. Technique - Posture (physics and fulcrums of the body), left hand position, right hand techniques, and good playing habits. 2. Knowledge - Music knowledge, theory, understanding different genres, and analyzing great players. 3.
