I am a singer-songwriter originally from the East Coast. My musical life started when I was 5-years-old at the piano. By the age 12, I decided I wanted to be a guitar rockstar, so I gave up the piano. Little did I know, my music reading skills from piano would help me greatly when I took up classical guitar lessons later in high school. Ever since then, I've been hooked on guitar and many string instruments. My ideology is that once you pick up one string instrument you can play any of them. Like music, I love all walks of life. I am always so curious about my students backgrounds, and I try to incorporate what I know about them into my teaching. I also know we all learn at different paces. For some, learning a G-chord is a piece of cake. For others, it may take 2 or 3 lessons to truly get the finger positions right. I am a patient person and will help you achieve your guitar playing goals!
