Students want and need a unique, fresh approach to learning music. It’s my passion to deliver this to you! With my lessons, I have discovered that students learn faster, engage deeper, and are inspired to continue exploring their capabilities. As musicians, we practice technique to get our fingers to go where we want them to go. We practice theory to understand where they can go and why. My method guarantees an eclectic musical education that allows the student to confidently play freely and give room for when that visionary flare lights up inside them! I balance what a student wants to learn with the necessary tools to succeed as a well-rounded musician. With my online music lessons, my goal is to inspire discovery in you, spark your creative expression, and keep it alive and thriving. I want to instill the love of learning, and the confidence you need to know that within you is a wellspring of great capacity and passion. Each student learns and integrates in their own unique way. I fine-tune my teaching style to your individual learning style and I customize my lessons to fit your personal needs. I learn the inner mechanics of how you best study so that you become fluent in the language of music that wants to comes through you. As a composer and a performer, I strive to be the best musician that I can be. I push my boundaries to achieve new levels of musicality. This is the same reason that I love to teach! I enjoy seeing the faces of my students when they push through their boundaries and realize that they are capable of amazing things! I travel throughout the world with my two furry kids writing music, teaching and performing. In my downtime I love to hike, sail and rock climb while seeing the amazing places this world has to offer! I also love to eat healthy food and create amazing sustainable earth-friendly structures. At two years old, I discovered the piano and began to play. This was the beginning of a lifelong love affair with everything ‘music.’ My passion for the piano set in motion an insatiable thirst to know and understand its nature, how it impacts the world and how music crosses all language barriers into a world of universal communication. I learned the cello, bass, guitar, drums, violin, and my own voice as a musical instrument. I studied fervently, the history of music, theory, and the methods to use to achieve musical goals, both technically and creatively.
