Hello! I'm Devan , I'm 18 years old and a current student at CSUS. I started playing bass in 2006, transitioned to guitar shortly after and my main emphasis is on jazz and bluegrass guitar. I'm a professional musician, it's been my only job ever. I have received numerous honors from local festivals as well as international festivals such as the Charles Mingus and Essentially Ellington festivals in New York City. I've toured all around California and recently returned from a tour of Italy and France. I'm on the educational committee of the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society, and my life's work has been dedicated to the expansion of jazz education. So teaching is kind of my thing. I look forward to working with you!
