Trumpet with Derrick S.

Derrick has been teaching private lessons since 1995 and is currently available to teach lessons at your home. He emphasizes a fun learning environment and personalizes the experience for each student. Derrick wants you to learn the type of music YOU are interested in, and will find a fun but productive way to get you there. Derrick received his Bachelor of Music degree from Southern Methodist University in 2001, and continued his studies in the Master's program at the Cleveland Institute of Music. After finishing in Cleveland, he headed to NYC to study and perform, followed by a move to Los Angeles in 2005, where he has been playing in groups ranging from rock bands to orchestras ever since. He recently moved back to his hometown of Atlanta and is eager to begin working with new students right away!
