A little bit about me as a musician and a teacher… I’m a trained wearer-of-many-hats. As a musician, you could have seen me as any number of things in the last 10 years: a conductor, a composer, a trombone player, a singer, or a producer. But above all, I have always considered myself a teacher first. While I’m a “classically-trained” musician, I consider myself “genre-agnostic” — I like to begin my teaching from a core part of your identity: your personal taste in music! Every style and genre has the ability to teach us how music is constructed, and how it impacts its listeners. Some Fun Facts 1. I have synesthesia which means I see colors and shapes when I hear music! 2. I love to learn new things whether they're music or not. Ask me about my other interests; I bet we have one in common. 3. I've invented 4 original languages! One will be used in an upcoming novel series and another was created for a piece of music I wrote for chorus! 4. I'm currently working on a Certificate in Sound Healing, a practice that originates in Ancient Greece and has traveled throughout the world over thousands of years. 5. I sing with a group called Choral Chameleon and I love it more than anything. We're currently recording an album of "choral rave music!" Top 10 Favorite Albums (in no particular order…) 1. The Golden Echo — Kimbra 2. How To Be A Human Being — Glass Animals 3. El Mal Querer — Rosalía 4. Lungs — Florence + The Machine 5. Cuz I Love You — Lizzo 6. Sing to the Moon — Laura Mvula 7. Begin to Hope — Regina Spektor 8. Family Dinner, Vol. 1 — Snarky Puppy 9. Valtari — Sigur Rós 10. Ulisi — Annutara Top 5 Favorite TV Shows (very much in order…) 1. Sense8 2. The Magicians 3. Avatar: The Last Airbender 4. Schitt’s Creek 5. The Great British Baking Show
