Classical Piano with Denise R.

I am currently accepting students ages 5 to 15 years old. Denise R. has been playing the piano since the age of seven. Playing the piano was like writing in a diary! She found that she could channel whatever she was feeling into the piano keys, where they would stay safe. Her love for the piano made a career in music a natural choice. Denise graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. She also earned her Service Playing Certificate from the American Guild of Organists. For the past nine years, Denise has been teaching students ages five and up. While she is classically trained, Denise enjoys mixing up different styles. Her students know that film music, Disney, and musical theatre is always welcome! Denise also has experience teaching with the Dorothy Taubman and Alexander Technique approaches, integrating the whole body to ensure a holistic approach to music-making. In addition to music, Denise also loves integrating music with mental health, reading, cooking, and listening to podcasts. She is a homebody at heart, and there's nothing that makes Denise happier than putting on some music in the background and doing one of her favorite activities!
