Piano for songwriters and music producers, made easy!

We’ll cover all you’ll ever need to know in order to utilize the piano for songwriting and music production. We’ll cover things like: - memorizing all of the keys on the piano - key signatures - time signatures - chord structure - chord progressions - proper technique - rhythm - musical notation - playing to the metronome - composition & more! The piano can be intimidating. Especially if you’ve never had any formal musical training. It’s often said that it’s not entirely “necessary” to have proper training in order to write or produce a song, but one thing is for sure.. it will make your life SO much easier if you do. You’ll be able to write and produce songs much more efficiently, and feel empowered knowing that you can actually understand what it is you’ve created. You’ll also be able to communicate your creative ideas with other songwriters and producers- a vital component of collaborating with other artists. As your teacher, I’ll make the process painless and easy to understand. Let’s get started!

Hello!, My classical training began at age 10, when I started to play the viola. From there, I was able to translate my musical skills to violin, guitar, piano, voice, composition, and songwriting. Originally a biology major at SUNY Purchase College, I quickly became restless knowing that I was unable to focus on music enough. So, I switched it up, followed my passion, and began studying music theory and production. Since then, my life has been focused on teaching, performing, writing, and recording music- and I wouldn't have it any other way! It's been quite a journey, and I can't wait to share all that I've learned along the way with you. Whether you are just starting out, or are looking to further the knowledge you already have, I will meet you at where you are, and help you to achieve your personal goals. Together we can work on technique, theory, improvisation, ear-training, songwriting, and more!
