My teaching philosophy is like a recipe: 1. use EASY, CLEAR, and EFFECTIVE instructional methods 2. provide a HUGE repertoire of FUN & INSPIRING music 3. add a healthy amount of PATIENCE 4. promote and inspire good habits (including practice) 5. provide frequent compliments and approval 6. promote improvement in POSITIVE ways! My program teaches ANY student to RAPIDLY GAIN the skills they need to SUCCEED! ... The instructional methods I've developed and (self)-published, are CLEAR, PRACTICAL, and EASY to FOLLOW. Most importantly, they're EFFECTIVE! The music my students learn, is the MOST varied, the MOST interesting, and the MOST FUN available from any teacher! ... My students can learn ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! ... ALL eras of pop, jazz, blues, R&B, gospel, country, broadway, film (a favorite of mine!), unique original songs and exciting thematic music by me (and by other students) as well as kids' music (including Disney™), and classical music! MANY of my students also learn composing, songwriting, and arranging! ... I teach them techniques, writing styles, how to expand their creativity, and to experiment! I teach students from age 5 on up! ... from Kindergarten to Senior Citizens! ... I also have considerable experience with special needs students (mid & high-function austim, ADHD, sight impaired, etc.)
