    About David R.

Hi, I'm a professional Musician with 4 years of production experience and 8 years of guitar/ performance experience. I've played shows in the New England area as well as in new york at venues ranging from small bars to 100-250 cap venues as well regional festivals. I've produced, engineered, and played on multiple albums, singles, and EP's. At my project studio, I mix and master projects from bands all around the world and I currently have a 5-star rating on soundbetter.com for my production and engineering work. In 2019 I enrolled at Berklee College of music as a guitar principle and am getting a degree in music production and engineering. I have already completed my guitar and theory education with some of the best music teachers out there and am excited to pass that knowledge on to you! I started my guitar journey much like many other young guitarists getting into classic rock and bands like the grateful dead, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and the velvet underground. Once I picked up the guitar and got more interested in music I explored all kinds of music and genres and I went to plenty of live music. The experiences I had going to live music events in high school shaped my understanding of music and got me interested in pursuing music as a career. I gained an appreciation for how much goes into music and I learned how to listen deeply, which is essential to correctly learning any kind of music. While I have since learned a lot of theory and practical knowledge about playing it's essential to remember that music is cultural and that playing should be an expression of your feelings. I love using the guitar in many different kinds of contexts such as using it as a vehicle for improvisation or as a songwriting tool. I see learning the guitar as a stepping stone to get to wherever you'd like to go with your music.
