Piano with David B.

I have been playing piano since the age of four and been giving lessons for about a decade. I grew up in a small town, playing mostly in the church and school band, where I started playing guitar, bass guitar, trumpet, trombone, euphonium and tuba. When I moved to the city, I began playing piano for ballet classes at Studio West Dance Academy, as well as joining various jazz and rock bands. In Fall of 2014 I began as a pianist for the Edmonds Community College Jazz and Salsa band, where I studied piano under John Sanders. As a part of this group I found my passion for latin jazz and fusion, and got the opportunity to travel to Cuba and workshop with the jazz band at Havana, Cuba's Universidad de las Artes. It was also at this time I began playing reggae as a keyboardist, vocalist, and trombone player with Cannon and the Lion of Judah, playing more then 200 shows with Cannon between 2015 and 2017. In 2017 I received my AA from Edmonds Community College and began attending Central Washington University's music education program with a scholarship from their jazz program. As my mother is a teacher, I have always known that I have a passion for teaching. I began giving piano lessons to students in my mother's special ed class in the late 2000's. I love music and I love to teach.
