    David Bon-Keen has been teaching private lessons since 2011 and is currently available to teach lessons online, on campus at UMass, Amherst, as well as the greater Western Massachusetts area and the Capital District region of New York. . David's comprehensive approach to music instruction, has helped students to not only improve in facility and comfort with the instrument, but also to have an understanding of musical history, the historical evolution of the instrument, and the unique and exciting opportunities that the bassoon can offer. David received his training at Hartwick College in 2010 where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bassoon performance. David also holds an Artist's Certificate from UMass Amherst, and is a current Graduate Bassoon Performance major at UMass Amherst. As an enthusiastic music educator and teacher in his field, David always looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals! David also offers horseback riding lessons for students of all ability levels. a 22 year veteran of the sport, David has been teaching actively since 2007, as well as having shown at "A" rated horse shows, he has coached actively on the show circuit as well as collegiate teams in Oneonta, NY. David now teaches privately, either remotely on site with your own horses, either in a one on one setting or in a group! His all encompassing teaching style not only shows students the finer points of the sport, but also the importance of the concept of horsemanship, on the ground and in the saddle.
