Ableton with Daniel R.

I am a lifelong musician who got my start playing guitar and bass. All music has its place but I lean toward metal/ hard rock. I believe music and other expressive skills are an essential part of the human experience. As such that is why I teach. The more ways people can find to express emotions and ideas the better they are for it. That is what draws me to Ableton. It is a software that opens so many musical and artistic doors simultaneously. I love to chase an idea as far as I can until a sound becomes an instrument, becomes a song, becomes a video, or whatever creative doors it unlocks. Outside of music I have a strong background in improv comedy and mental health. My improv performance background helps me "yes, and" with students to keep driving creativity and learning. While my time working at mental health centers as an advocate helps me key in with students as individuals with histories and lives outside of music lessons.
