Dani Fortner has a Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from The Boston Conservatory and a Bachelor's from NYU. She has also studied hand drumming at Berklee. Dani prides herself on being a versatile percussionist and teacher, specializing in all styles of drum set, orchestral percussion, marimba, and hand drums. She now lives in the greater Boston area, where she performs and teaches regularly, as well as works full time at a percussion instrument manufacturing company. While she strives for each student to have an overall technical proficiency and ability to play all styles of music, she believes in tailoring her teaching method for each student based on their own goals and interests, rather than using one teaching template for all students.
