I've been a classically trained pianist since I was 5 years old, but I never really understood the theory behind music. So, I learned it! I minored in Music Education in college and since then, I began to teach not only the good-sounding, fun and cool side of music, but also the theory behind what makes it so great! Understanding theory coupled with being able to read music is imperative to helping an individual become a well-rounded musician, ultimately equipping him/her to learning new instruments if they are interested. I also like to teach interactively so be prepared to engage, laugh and learn in a fashion that will allow you to retain everything and personally build your skill outside of our lessons.

You'll love me, I promise. I've grown from hating the piano to loving it, and the shift came when I finally understood the magic behind it. I'm interested in bringing it out of you as well!
