Everyone has something different to tell when they write music. It is my goal to help my students developing their unique way of communicating and expressing their stories through music in a way that helps them learn more about themselves and the world. In my lessons, I expose the students to different styles and composition techniques to help provide them the tools that they can use in their own music, and help them learn to apply these tools through composition projects, custom notes, listening lists, and exercises. Lessons will be planned according to the students' goals. Fox example, students who want to focus on classical composition can choose to learn more about orchestration, forms, counterpoint, and the techniques of different composition schools like Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Impressionism; while students who want to focus on writing music for video games will spend more time learning about working with VST instruments, creating mockups, using a DAW, and writing music for different game genres.
