I have 20 years of experience teaching acting, voice and diction. I am also a director and have auditioned hundreds of actors for stage work, so I know what works and what doesn't in an audition!
I've worked with both academic and professional theatre across the country. I use a variety of methods as I believe that achieving authenticity on stage is a very personal journey no one method works for everyone. I also believe that "authenticity" is meaningless without the skills needed to make your work clear and affecting for an audience. So, I always incorporate physical and vocal techniques alongside deep personal connection to character. This approach will give you a firm foundation that can be equally effective on stage or on camera. Serious commitment is the foundation of good acting and I believe that ANYONE can be taught to be great!
