A Nashville native, I started teaching piano lessons in 2000. I am an active member of the Nashville Area Piano Study Club and a graduate of Vanderbilt University's Blair School of Music pre-college program, where I studied music theory, music history and piano performance courses for more than ten years under the Myra Jackson Blair Scholarship. Additionally, I received piano scholarships from Samford University, Hendrix College, Millsaps College and received the highest scholarship in history from Furman University for any musical instrument. Ranked first in multiple national piano competitions and third in an international piano competition, I love music and am excited to share my passion with others in a learning environment.

I have seen Ms. Cotton in action and am impressed with every area of her teaching. Her knowledge, patience and encouragement are particularly striking. Although I am an accomplished pianist and have been playing decades long than she, I consult her for "mimi lessons" she is the most talented performer I have personally ever known and I am a music professional.

Fantastic training with one of the best professionals at Blair School of Music. A beautiful, expressive player with a very calm, patient, and positive attitude - all attributes a good teacher should have.
