My teaching style is focused on practical application, and I have helped my students acquire the skills and tools they need to land gigs, perform as part of a group for live audiences, and express themselves creatively on the drum set. My name is Corey, and I have been playing the drums, guitar, and piano for over 25 years. I am currently a full-time working drummer with the Philly-area modern country band Shot of Southern, and I am the guitarist for a country/rock acoustic duo. My teaching style is focused on practical application, and my goal is to help my students acquire the skills and tools they need to land gigs, perform as part of a group for live audiences, and express themselves creatively on their instrument. As a lifelong student of music, I have taken private lessons, studied in marching, concert, and jazz bands, performed rock and jazz in front of audiences since my early teens, and earned an Associates degree in music from the Montgomery County Community College. Now my passion is to share all that I have learned, and help my students discover the joy of making music! Corey is a fantastic drummer! Take advantage of time at home while learning new skills, and this is a great way to stay active and keep your energy up. Corey has been drumming for a very long time and has an excellent positive attitude, you can't miss!

A great experience! I have been learning with Corey for about two months, and am already improving. I am a guitar player with some basic drumming experience. I was looking to finally get to the next level so I could record my own drum beats (also drumming always looked like a lot of fun!), and Corey is helping me to achieve this. He is a talented drummer himself, and was able to quickly assess my playing level so we could start building on it. He has a great eye and ear for issues with my technique and always has an exercise to address them. In a short time I have experienced significant improvement, playing some more creative drum patterns, and am looking forward to continuing. A lot of fun, very fulfilling, great instructor! Highly recommended!
