I began playing the cello at age 9 and have been teaching private lessons to children and adults for 8 years. I started playing professionally in high school, as a part of a chamber group where I was hired to play various events such as fund raisers, weddings, and recording gigs. I have performed alongside musicians such as Glen Frey, Jackson Brown, David Crosby, America, Colin Hay, and Tears for Fears, and have performed with various symphonies in venues such as Disney Concert Hall, and Lincoln Center. I am a recent graduate of NYU, where I got my degree in Music.
I teach my students to read music, while following the Suzuki method which will introduce students to the classical cello repertoire alongside level appropriate etudes, and exercises. When a student becomes more advanced, I integrate other classical repertoire such as the six Bach Suites for cello - a quintessential work - as well as various exercises, scales, and bowing techniques. I have experience teaching all levels.
