Hello, my name is Cindle V. and I love teaching music and chess. I have been teaching for 15 years. I hold a bachelor's degree in music education and currently teach around 30 lessons a week to students ranging in ability from beginner to professional. My experience working with all types of learners allows me to easily tailor lessons to the student. Currently, I play in 2 active bands and produce my own music. I am a member of The National Music Educators Association, OPSICA, and am a nationally licensed teacher who incorporates music therapy into my lessons. I also work with local chess clubs. I teach my clients in my home music studio. I work with singers, guitarists/bassists, pianists, instrumentalists, strings, and chess students. Some of the musical styles I regularly teach: Rock, Indie Rock, Metal, Hard Rock, Alternative, Pop, Punk, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Classical. Some of my chess skills are opening, mid game tactics, end game tactics, and speed chess.

I've been taking chess lessons from Cindle for 5 months now and my play has greatly improved. I just played in my first in person tournament and came in 4th place out of 35 players. I look forward to the lessons each week and always feel excited and re-energized by them.
I have zero music experience and started banjo lessons with Cindle. She is FANTASTIC! She is so encouraging while still challenging you, making the most of the lessons. She has a great personality that makes lessons stress free and fun. Her backgound with many different instruments is impressive. I would not hesitate to recommend Cindle!
