    About Christopher M.

Christopher M has been teacing private lessons since 2010 and is currently available to teach at the student's home. Christopher has helped students prepare for local competitions, enter district and state festivals, and pursue various opportunities to collaborate in both chamber music and settings outside the classical genre. Christopher is entering his last year at the Boston Conservatory to receive a bachelor’s degree in String Performance. As an expert in his field, Christopher looks forward to helping new students achieve their goals. His teaching style is friendly but firm on returning to basic fundamentals (scales, arpeggios) for learning musicality and technique, emphasizing physicality for isolating and releasing tension in the student’s playing (Alexander Technique), and encouraging the student to investigate the score- and what lies beyond- as both listener and performer to further develop their own ideas, or their own ‘voice’ as an artist.
