Chris is a great teacher! As an adult beginner, it is sometimes difficult to find a teacher who will treat you as an adult yet give you great instruction when you are just a beginning piano student. Chris does this with ease. I am now an intermediate level student and he takes the same time and care with his teaching as he did when I was a beginner. I am looking forward to advancing even more during my time as a student with Chris Mauldin. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher.+ Read More
As a beginner piano student, Chris made me feel very welcome in that class, was very patient with me, and gave me many resources to improve my playing technique and artistry. I walked out of each lesson feeling like I had learned something and I had a concrete way to work on it. Overall, I had a great experience with the class, and Chris made it engaging and, honestly, really fun.+ Read More
Chris is so talented as a teacher AND a performer! He has rare gifts at both. He makes students feel comfortable so that they are ready and eager to learn. He uses humor and great energy to inspire.
Chris Mauldin has been working with my children for several years and is a fantastic teacher. He is very patient with them even when they haven't practiced much during the week. It's great that he knows so much about music in general, which makes learning to play the piano so much more fun for my kids. We were so sorry to see him move to Los Angeles. They really liked taking piano lessons from Chris!+ Read More
I have had the pleasure of working in Austin, TX with Dr. Mauldin for several years and can speak with the utmost confidence he is one of the best piano teacher in the Los Angeles area. I would not want to have worked with anyone else. Austin’s loss is Los Angeles’ gain.
He is kind, patient and knowledgeable in the art of playing the piano. He is the type of teacher that you will have a relationship with the rest of your life.
Chris is really patient and easy to work with and he's really passionate about music. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him and felt like I grew a lot as a musician in the time I studied with him.
Chris is a perceptive, patient, and attentive instructor. Always had good insight and great advice to offer and made lessons informative and enjoyable.
Chris was my piano teacher for two years while he was teaching at The University of Texas at Austin, and he really taught me so much about piano. He is a very dedicated and inspiring teacher who really cares for his students and is willing to go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. He has amazing technical skills and musical ideas that he is able to really explain in very simple terms, which allow students to learn it efficiently.
On top of that, he is extremely nice, interesting, and genuine, which makes him a remarkable person to learn from!
