I get pretty excited when when my new students pick up a new groove or take a new step in developing their technique! I've been drumming for 15 years and professionally for about 5, including paid gigs and teaching in the Salt Lake region. Currently drumming and section leader at the University of Utah Drumline. I've drummed professionally in groups such as the Seattle Cascades and Weber State Indoor Percussion. I've played in many rock and metal bands in the last decade and also have a track featured with the famous drummer Luke Holland. I've taught high school percussion. I can teach anywhere from beginning to well-advanced drumming. Ranging anywhere from classical symphonic to marching drums to heavy metal drum set. You name it, I can help. 

On a side note, drumming is something that never came easy to me. The first 6 years of my drumming career was spent trying to catch up to my peers and getting cut from auditions. I believe this makes me a really good teacher due to the fact that I know a lot of ways to play wrong.

Drumming is absolutely amazing. Nothing gets me more excited than when I see my students learn. I make a pretty good income outside of teaching lessons. But, I continue simply because I love doing it.
