Overview

Hi everyone! After teach for over 15 years at my local music store in Denver and now have my own teaching studio. I'm always excited to meet new students and I teach with an open and low pressure style. My students learn through the music they listen to so the lessons are fun and motivating. I teach all levels of guitar, ukulele and bass as well as group uke classes. I specialize in folk, rock, blues and classical. After you learn your favorite song, I explain how it relates to other songs so that you can write your own, figure out songs by yourself or with friends!

I have been taking ukulele lessons from Chris for about 7 months now and he is a great teacher and lots of fun also! I have been learning songs I love. I never thought I would be able to learn an instrument having never played one before (I'm in my 50's). Learning from Chris makes me wish I would have started when I was much younger. Not only is he my teacher but someone I consider a friend now too.

I have been taking ukulele and guitarlele from Chris for about 7 months now and literally look forward to the next lesson as soon as I leave. He has a great way of teaching that is not so rote and boring. I am in my mid 50 ' s and never thought I would be able to play an instrument, but I now have a firm grasp of the notes and chords and am now working on technique. He makes the lessons relevant to music you like, it's always thrilling to not only love your music, but understanding it also. This is much more than just a boring ukulele or guitar class. Chris is also such a cool and funny guy that he makes you feel like you are his equal musically, not just a student.
