Hi! My name is Chris. I am a violinist who has been playing since the 4th grade and teaching for over 10 years. I love music in all of its forms. Whether it's works of the great classical masters or plugging my electric violin into a new effects pedal, you can bet I'm loving every minute of it. But nothing is more rewarding to me than passing on that love of music to others! I attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida, where I studied music education under renowned conductor and violinist, Dr. Arthur Prano. Since that time, I've played in traditional classical symphonies, broadway musical pit ensembles, and even fronted an original music rock band named Hotel Hurry. Book lessons with me today! I can't wait to get started! *** Lesson Details *** I can assist you with everything from picking up the instrument for the first time to improving upon what you already know. I believe every student should be approached in a unique way that works best with their personal style. I also believe that learning to play the violin doesn't have to be restricted to only classical music. Violins sound great in almost every genre of music, so why not use a great variety of music to learn with? I employ methods from Suzuki and All For Strings in my lessons, in addition to other sources. I think what sets me apart from many other teachers is my flexibility. I understand that the same approach doesn't work equally for every student. Every student is different and learns differently. Adapting my teaching style to the student's unique needs is essential to their enjoyment and success!
