Audio Engineering lessons with an expert musician and instructor

Using the knowledge I've received while studying at Full Sail, you will learn various engineering techniques to take your mix to the next level. The first few lessons will cover important vocabularies such as DAW, midi, compressor, EQ, condenser mic, and more. You will also learn how to set up your room for recording or mixing audio. After a few lessons, you will be able to create your own tracks, add VSTs or virtual instruments, and start a basic mix and master of your work. As most DAWs are similar, I can teach these skills no matter which DAW a student currently has, I also have some experience in other DAWs like FL Studio, Pro Tools, and Cubebase. However, for the most in-depth lessons, using Logic Pro is recommended since I will be more able to teach key commands, automation, and techniques to improve workflow.

Hello future student, I have been playing the piano for about 20 years and have taught on and off for a number of years. I started songwriting in high school and further developed my skills with college courses. I graduated with a degree in music and have taught piano as a freelancer but also under a brick-and-mortar business. I was primarily trained as a classical pianist and vocalist; but also know genres like jazz and pop, and how to play/learn by ear. I can also teach music theory that's specific to your musical goal and have taught people with no musical background up to a high school level. My biggest belief as a teacher is that each lesson should be catered to the individual in terms of musical interests, mood, and skill. Music is about self-expression and putting your emotions to sound where words may fail. The goal was to get vocals that she could take with her to the studio to get mixed and mastered for a final product. I provided her with options and rough drafts for her to chose from before submitting the final project. I gave her back organized, uncompressed audio files; an untouched version, and a version with light mixing. The job ended with all parties happy and ready for the next step of production.
