Every 8-10 months, I host recitals for my students to perform in front of family and friends. This gives students the opportunity to display their talents and hard work in a formal setting. Recitals are optional, for all instruments, and will be held at the Piano Place in Troy. Next upcoming recital will be December 2018.
I only teach from my apartment and cannot drive to new students' homes. I have a strict 24-hour notice for cancellations. The exceptions where you do not have to pay the late-cancel lesson fee is inclement weather and sudden illness.
Other than teaching music, I am a part-time licensed social worker. I administer risk assessments for low-income pregnant women in Macomb county. I make home visits to clients and connect them to community resources and help eliminate barriers mothers face from having healthy pregnancies. I conduct monthly home visit for infants up to 12 months old. (The agency I work for is based in Farmington Hills)+ Read More

Chenyo is such an amazing teacher. She spends time teaching me every little part of violin and she would not move on until the lesson is understood. Great teacher, I recommend her to all who are seeking to learn music.
We just started with Chenyu and I'm so glad at the way she teaches my kids. They love her and in spite of their age (3 1/2 year old twins) and a 5 year old, I feel that they are actually learning something. I look forward to seeing them blossom in the future.+ Read More
